Born in Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela, JP Gomez began experimenting with music at the age of 14, starting with the creation of his first cassette mix tape. It was the late 80s, and electronic music was just entering its genesis. That single mix tape spawned several others, and by the early 90s JP was fully immersed in the underground entertainment scene. Regular attendance to nightclubs within the city soon evolved into throwing his own underground house music parties, which he frequently organized all before the age of 19.

At 19, JP moved to Austin, Texas, where the city's legendary music culture pulled him into the nightlife arena once more. Working behind the scenes at nightclubs in some of Texas' largest cities—Austin, Houston, and Dallas—in addition to further major US cities—Chicago, New York, and Miami—JP built his career from doorman to General Manager, where he was in the position to hire DJs and plan events. He has also worked behind the curtain at an assortment of key music events including Miami's Winter Music Conference, Ultra Music Festival, SXSW, and Austin City Limits.

In 2015 JP moved to Toronto, where he decided to enhance his DJ skills with the completion of an audio engineering course for professional DJs. As for musical wisdom, JP has an extensive knowledge in a number of genres including house, techno, trance, hip-hop, reggaeton, salsa, and merengue.

What began with a single mix tape has since transformed into an all-out dedication to music and the industry which surrounds it.
